NY Times says gaming industry on the delcine

Interesting article from the NY Times about the state of the game industry. It is safe to say however that it is both the next gen transition period and the start of the usual summer drought so it is not suprising that the industry is taking a hit.

Things will heat up again this fall; is it safe to assume Wii will reverse these trends?

How many games have your bought in the last year, and how many would you reccomend. Is the problem with the quality of the games being put out, or is the problem with people looking for something else, or perhaps, without time to play games? Post a comment!

The only games that I play now tend to be on the DS. I am excited for the Wii and will probably get one at launch. I just do not have time to play many games anymore.
